The time has come…

Hello again, loyal readers!

I come to you today with a heavy heart… after five years of publishing, Fourth & Sycamore will be closing up shop.

There were many factors contributing to this decision, but ultimately, it all comes down to time. Unfortunately, our new normal just isn’t allowing enough time to run the journal the way it deserves.

If you’ve submitted anything and haven’t received a response, we sincerely hope that you’ll take the work you sent us to a journal that can give it a good, loving home. The same goes to any artist who has submitted work that hasn’t been published.

But don’t despair quite yet! We still have a few new things up our sleeves. I’ll be back with a final farewell post once we’ve published all of the accepted poetry we have stored up.

Until then… happy reading!

  1. I’m very sorry to receive this notice. I hope it leads to a better program for the Library and a chance for other achievements for everyone who produced the magazine.

  3. So sad to read of this decision. I was honored to have been your monthly nonfiction book reviewer for nearly four of those five years. Hope there’s something better on the horizon for all of you at the Greenville Public Library.
